1940’s themed weekend (VE Celebration) at the Royal Gunpowder Mills

The club will be operating GB2RGM, from the Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey (RGM) over the May Bank holiday weekend of the 3 – 5 May for the  VE Celebration . We will also be showing our collection of equipment of this era. This is a high profile event for the club and we need as much useful support as we can muster.

We are looking for operators and meet and greeters over the weekend. If you can assist over all or some of this period please let me know.

A period of operating and or meet & greet on the exhibition stand is what is required.

After your shift you are free to wander around the re-enactment displays and exhibitions. There is a volunteer base with tables, chairs and tea making facilities. There is also a café for food and hot drinks.

The times will be approximately from 10.00 to 1700 Sat to Mon. Operation will be mainly on HF and 2m.

Passes are available from me. These MUST be shown on entry. RGM volunteers must have their ID card with them.

PLEASE NOTE:    NO PASS / ID YOU PAY TO GET IN AS DO THE PUBLIC.
